Cultural/National  and (therefor also) language related communication errors.
Many habits or customs in country A, may be very weird or even have an opposite meaning in country B.

To tackle most of these communication challenges, Utolantis has several solution built-in to the design.

Multiple Languages/Cultures:
As mentioned in our concepts of the High-tech Nomad and Communities, our new home is the entire planet earth. 
Instead of being imprisoned in a country or a culture, we roam the entire planet during our life.

Of coarse this will never ever work with 7000 different languages, so in Utolantis there will be 1 language that we all speak. Other languages will be optional.
What that single language will be is yet to be decided, but it has to be a language we can all learn easily. So perhaps Esperanto is a good option. Another topic that is also tackled within the Utolantis concept are the culture related communication issues since there are no more nation-related cultures anymore.

Personal skills:
Next to the language and culture related communication issues, we have all kinds of (inter)personal skills that need to be tackled.
In Utolantis, as part of our education, we need to be trained in applying the golden ethical rule : ” An it harm none, Do as thy wilt”, correctly.  This implies (among others) that we need to learn to ” read” other people’s body language and adapt our own behavior towards that.
