Healthcare

Introduction:
When it comes to healthcare there are thousands of theories, techniques and practices, but still they can be brought back to just 2 fundamental approaches:
- Western pharmaceutical/reductionism based healing
- Holistic healing
In the western world, our “Normal” view on health is based upon the materialistic worldview.
It sees the human body as a biological machine, where our organs are the components of which the machine is built from. And when we get ill, it is either the result of an organism failure and we just need to repair or replace that component, or our body has been attacked by external factors like microorganisms or poisonous substances.
According to this reductionism based healthcare, one of the main reasons why we get ill is the Germ Theory.
In short, the Germ theory is based upon the idea that many diseases are caused by microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, protozoa, or fungi. Some of these microorganisms are beneficial to our body, where others attack our body with the intention to make us ill or even kill us.
And this view is exactly in line with materialism as a worldview which sees the whole world as one big battle zone where only the fittest survive.
And although it is widely accepted by the main stream healthcare, it is far from undisputed.

Pasteur versus Béchamp:
While Louis Pasteur in the mid-1800’s was fighting to get his Germ Theory widely accepted by the mainstream academics at that time, he was challenged by colleague Antoine Béchamp who promoted his own concept, the Terrain Theory.
According to the Terrain Theory, inside every cell , in the fluid between the cells, our blood and lymph, there are microzymes which are independent living organisms.
Main functions of these microzymes are to build or recycle an organism. So these microzymes can be both beneficent as well as maleficent for our body. And the switch that determines which function is active, is depending on the environment (which Béchamp calls : The Terrain) in which we live. In a clean, healthy and nutritious environment the microzymes will boost the health of our organs where a toxic, dirty and stressful environment with a lot of anxiety, will bring diseases. Next to that, Béchamp stated that microzymes can transform into bacteria under specific conditions.
Looking into the healing treatment of both the Germ Theory and the Terrain Theory, we see a totally different approach. The Germ Theory Team that regards the disease as an attack from the outside world (in the shape of bacteria or viruses e.g. ) , also fights back with external substances like vaccines and chemical medication.
In contrast, the Terrain Theory states that on order to heal, we have to improve the environment which can be done in multiple ways like avoiding stress, better food, herbs and spices, meditation or other activities that boost our immune system. A stronger immune system will improve the functioning of the microzymes which will do the actual healing.

Ayurveda:
Although the dispute between Pasteur and Béchamp in the mid-1800’s seems long ago, the concept of Ayurveda goes back thousands of years.
Some even mention 10.000 years.
Original texts are part of the Indian Vedic writings, originally written in Sanskrit.
Ayurveda means “The Knowledge (Veda) of Life (Ayur)”
The basic concept of Ayurveda states that all diseases first start in the mind where it turns into physical illness once the symptoms are ignored.
Healing is based upon the restoration of balance between your personal energy levels, where these energy levels are based upon your main personality type which is a specific mixture of 3 basic ones called Pitta, Vata and Kapha.
This also implies that the healing process is not a one-size-fits-all solution as we see in western pharmaceutical industry, but always pinpointed to the individual where we take into account the entire (holistic) person as mind, body and spirit.
The healing techniques encompass a range of practices which includes herbal medicine, lifestyle/dietary changes, yoga, acupuncture, meditation and massage among many others.
German New Medicine: ( In a Nutshell)
A relatively new vision on healthcare was introduced by Ryke Geerd Hamer in the 1980’s which he labelled: German New Medicine (GNM)
Like all holistic healthcare concepts, GNM bases it’s healing on the environment and how a bad environment causes a disease instead of microorganisms who attack us from the outside.
According to GNM, there are 3 basic situations where we “trigger a disease” :
- Toxicity
- An unexpected emotional shock
- An allergic trigger ( as a result of an earlier unexpected emotional shock)
But the GNM looks at a disease as a healing process!
What we normally call a disease is actually a healing process!
A healing process that responds to the trigger which started the process in the first place.
Taking the unexpected emotional shock as example, the basic concept of the GNM works as follows.
At a totally unexpected moment you experience a severe traumatic shock like your child suddenly crosses the street and gets hit by a car. At that very moment which in GNM terminology is called a DHS (Dirk Hamer Syndrome), a number of things happen immediately.
A snapshot from that exact moment is taken and stored in your subconscious brain. This snapshot contains all thoughts, emotions and the content of all your 5 senses ( see, hear, feel, smell, taste ).
Also your body enters the Conflict-Active Phase (See image: “NGM”) , which is triggered by one of the many Biological Special Programs (BSP). These Biological Programs also reside in our subconscious mind and which one of them is selected for execution is depending on the details of the traumatic shock you are experiencing.
This program now runs on 3 levels at the same time, psyche, organ and brain. It changes our biology in such a way that we can handle the situation for the duration of the stress period. Examples of these changes in our biology can be the increase of additional lung capacity (by growing more lung-cells) to absorb more oxygen which will increase your alertness. So your body makes changes to better deal with the stress situation. Important to notice here is that this process happens largely unnoticed.
Once the stress situation ends since your child survived the car crash and is now safely recovering, you can also relax and you enter the Healing Phase. During this healing phase, the biological changes from the previous Conflict-Active Phase, are no longer needed. This means that they can be reverted.
This reversion process typically involves bacteria and fungi to do the work. In this phase we do notice that our body is actively recovering since we will experience it’s symptoms like fever, pain, swellings among others, where these signals of illness are actually the signals of healing.
Another typical example of how the NGM functions is based upon the snapshot that was taken when we had the traumatic shock event.
All elements of that snapshot (like the smell of roses or the taste of milk) can become a trigger that reminds our sub conscience of that particular traumatic event and as a result kickoff another BSP program which can result in (for example) a skin rash. This effect is what we normally call an allergic reaction. So an allergic reaction or anything else on a chronical basis (like a migraine), is actually the reiteration of the original trauma event.
The treatment process of GNM is therefor also more like detective work to find out which specific trauma has originally caused your “disease” and once detected, one has to find a solution to tackle it. This can be done by other therapies like EMDR, Brainspotting or Hypnotherapy
GNM even claims that pharmaceutic medication and/or (surgical) procedures (like chemotherapy) usually have a negative impact on the healing process, since they infringe the natural process. Even painkillers should be avoided as much as possible since pain is also a part of the natural/biological healing process .

The Placebo Effect:
Most of us who are familiar with the placebo effect, they know that a fake pill usually has an effect which is somewhat equal to the official prescription drug.
Sometimes it even outperforms the formal one.
And in order to get new drugs approved, they have to compete with the placebo during a so called : “placebo-controlled clinical trial” and win this battle.
We have even seen surgical placebo’s which work just as good as real surgical operations.
Now what many people may not (yet) know is that several scientists have also studied the placebo effect itsef in order to figure out if it is actually doing anything or is it sheer coincidence or imagination?
The results of these studies showed that the placebo effect is a complex phenomenon based upon several psychological and neurobiological mechanisms.
Or, in other words, “ It works when you actually believe that it will work”
Studies have shown that placebo’s can actually change how the brain reacts by releasing hormones (like natural pain killers) or rewire your brains in a process called : Neuroplasticity which changes your neural connections.
And these brain reactions are exactly the same as the changes we can measure when using the conventional drug or surgery.

The Law of Attraction:
Based on these result, the idea was born that states that if you wish, consistent and hard enough, you can change your life and become whatever you want.
This idea, also known as :”The law of attraction” was made very popular by the 2006 movie and book called: “ The Secret” and has inspired millions of people worldwide.
Famous people like Jim Carrey claim that their success is the direct result of his belief that he will one day become a Hollywood superstar.
But it is far more than just wisfull thinking.
It is about manifestation. Manifestation means that you have to truly visualize what you want to achieve and start feeling as if you already have realized it.
If you do this consistently, with your heart and soul and keep repeating this over and over, then eventually it will manifest in reality.
The theory behind the concept is based on the idea that your thoughts and emotions, which are considered energy, have a powerful influence on the reality you experience.
Yet, although many people claim that it has worked out perfectly for them, it is not a guaranteed road towards succes.

The biology of belief:
What interferes with the Law of Attraction concept, is the fact that we do not only have a conscious brain/mind but also a subconscious one.
As already mentioned when we discussed the German New Medicine, the subconscious mind is where our traumatic events are stored and act as standalone biological programs that execute in a specific situation as a primitive , but extremely powerful, defense mechanism.
People like Bruce Lipton also mention that during our first 7 years, we are learning by observation which operates on a lower brain frequency (theta waves) than our conscious mind. During these first 7 years, basically, your personality is created as your initial neural connections are created. Changing them afterwards is possible (thanks to the neuroplasticity of our brain) but a lot more difficult.
So when your conscious mind (as a part of your Law of Attraction exercise) says: “I want to be win this contest” , but your subconscious mind fires a program that says: “ You are a loser” , you will lose the contest since the subconscious mind is far more powerful.
So, to change this, we have to change our subconscious mind. We have to change the subconscious programs. We have to enforce our brain to rewire.
Neuroscience has taught us that, in order to do so, there are some practical ways to make this work and one of is Night Meditation.
Other options to rewire your brain can be found in high-tech solutions like Neurofeedback among others.

Putting it all together:
Although there are dozens of holistic healing techniques and therapies, in this article, I only touched briefly upon a few of them.
What we see is that:
- Holistic healing takes into account that the origin of your “disease” can be almost anything, like toxicity, stress, traumatic events (in the past) or your diet, among many others. The focus of the therapist is to heal this original trigger. This in sharp contrast with western pharmaceutics that focus on the symptoms of your “disease”, ignoring the fact that most of these symptoms are the direct result of your natural healing process. Pharmaceutical drugs and/or technologies can even negatively interfere with our natural healing process.
- Holistic healing is focused on the individual situation. So instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, it states that one-size-fits-nobody.
- The different techniques and therapies overlap but hardly ever disagree. Different approaches focus on different aspects of the whole.
- Although we have dozens of overlapping Holistic Healing therapies, not all of them will be suited on an individual level. For example there are many types of meditation, but perhaps only a guided meditation or Qigong meditation will work for you. Or a daily walk in nature will work much better for you than any meditation.
This also may confuse you since you may very well think like: “Well, how on earth will I be able to figure out which of the many therapies will work for me in my specific situation?”
Fortunately there are (at least 2) good answers to that question.
The first one is to find a good Holistic Therapist since a good healer will first have an in-depth interview with you as an individual and then offer a wide range of options to choose from
The second one is your intuition, since your intuition will pick out the right one from this list of options.

Pseudo-Science:
In the period when Pasteur was debating with Béchamp in the battle between germs versus environment, it was also the birth of petroleum based chemical industry and the dawn of ruthless capitalism.
Main figure of that time was John D Rockefeller who founded the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research in 1901 and one year later he founded the General Education Board
Now he could dictate his the truth , define and design the definition of chemical healthcare since all clinics, hospitals and (future) medical practitioners had to adhere to his standards.
And since he was a Social Darwinist and a pure capitalist, he took over the entire healthcare industry, nowadays known as Big Pharma.
He also used his money and power to drive out natural/holistic healing therapies since you can not make trillions of dollars profit from herbs and other natural products, but you can make these profits with chemical/pharmaceutical drugs, vaccines and antibiotics which were a quite new invention at that time. Especially when you also control/own the drug regulating agencies like the FDA, WHO and EMA.
Since that time and until today, we see that Big Pharma is demonizing natural/holistic healing, calling it pseudo-science and they have the law on their side.
For this reason, no Holistic Healer Therapist is even allowed to suggest that their therapies or treatments have any healing capacities.
It also means, as we saw during the Covid period, that Big Pharma rules even overrule the famous Oath of Hippocrates, which is now reduced to an oath of hypocrisy.
Thanks to pioneer whistleblowers like Peter Gøtzsche, the general public, who has been fooled for decades, is now slowly waking up to find out who the true pseudo scientists really are.

Utolantis: Holistic Harmony:
Since Utolantis is based upon the holistic worldview and rejects materialism as a worldview, it fully adopts the concepts of Holistic Healing instead of pharmaceutics.
Holistic Healing is therefor also part of your basic education and optionally you can be educated to the level of a Holistic Healer.
Utolantis even takes Holistic Healing to the highest level possible by expanding its scope to not only prevention, disease healing and becoming the best person you can be, but it also includes crime prevention and a quality gate to keep the communities healthy and thriving.
So, instead of Holistic Healing, we call it Holistic Harmony.
We, humans are Hybrid Creatures where our final goal/ambition in life is to become Spiritual Beings.
Whether we can accomplish this desire is for a large part also depending on the quality of our environment.
We will need a peaceful and safe environment that will allow us to grow towards the higher levels on the Maslow Pyramid.
If his safe and peaceful environment is not present or unreachable, we will become frustrated since our natural growth gets blocked.
This frustration can lead to criminal behavior when we see that crime does pay off.
This frustration can also lead to all kinds of illness when our community is not performing well.
And since there is a direct link between this frustration on one side and crime and illness on the other side, Utolantis uses objective statistic information on health and crime to calculate the quality of a given community.
Meaning that when we see a growth in illness or criminal tendencies/behavior, there is something wrong with our way to govern our community (on a local level) or even our whole civilization (on a global level) and actions need to be taken to restore the quality of life.
